Anti-wrinkle injection

Toxin was first used for treating patients with eye spasms, and when it was noted that they all looked young and wrinkle free around the treated eyes, the drug was licensed for cosmetic use. Brands of toxin used for this treatment are Botox, Dysport or Xeomin. Small, targeted doses of the toxin relax the muscles of the face, allowing the skin to smoothen and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

The downtime is minimal, with small red bumps in the injections sites which will have resolved by the end of the appointment. A two-week review appointment is always included in this treatment, where any additional toxin can be placed if required. There is no additional charge for that appointment.

We also offer toxin for the muscles of the jaw joint (masseters), which some people will overuse by clenching or grinding their teeth during the day or at night(bruxism). When the muscle is over worked, then it can become bulky, which gives a square, masculine look to the jaw. Overuse of the muscles can stress teeth, fillings or crowns and cause fractures or cracks. By relaxing the muscles, it can slim the jaw line and also protect the teeth.

The effects of toxin will wear away in 3-6 months.

Injectable Skin enhancers: Your skin, but better

Skin enhancement injections are the best way to improves your skins hydration, texture and glow. These treatments don’t add volume like fillers do, but they will add the hydration that will make the skin look plumped and healthy. As we age, our body doesn’t produce as much of the collagen and elastin that keeps our skin looking young, so adding these with injectables is a great way to prevent that dull, aged look to the skin.

If your goal is to deeply hydrate dull dry skin, then skin boosters are a great option.

If you wish to create a plump, more youthful look, then Profhilo will help with this as it targets skin laxity well.

If you wish to improve tone and texture and elasticity, then polynucleotides are an excellent option.

A pretreatment consultation is required for all treatments to assess suitability and create a treatment plan.

Skin Boosters

Injecting small amounts of hyaluronic acid has multiple benefits to your skin. It improves skin elasticity, hydrates the skin, and improves the texture to give a natural healthy glow and can also reduce scarring. These can be used in the full face.

They have an immediate effect; the downtime is minimal, and the results can be sustained for up to 12 months.

Profhilo

This is pure, high quality hyaluronic acid that acts as a bio remodeling treatment to boost collagen and elastin production. It focuses on the lower half of the face and up to 10 injection spots are used. It has a noticeable effect after a couple fo weeks and it is recommended to have two sessions, 4 weeks apart. Its effects will last up to a year, but you can add a small boost when needed to improve its effect even more.

Polynucleotides

These are biomodulator injectables. So rather than simply adding the hydration of the skin, it talks to the cells to produce more collagen and elastin by stimulating fibroblast production. These don’t have as quick an effect, visually, compared to skin boosters/Profhilo, and multiple sessions may be required. However, in the long term, it will significantly improve the skins texture and hydration. It can take up to 3 months for the full effect to be seen but can last up to 18 months. These treatments can be very effective around the yes and delicate areas, so may be used in combination with other skin boosting procedures.

MicroNeedling/PRP

Microneedling is a dermal remodeling procedure, where tiny, precise punctures are made in the skin surface which then stimulates the skin to create more collagen and elastin to heal the area. This improves the appearance of fine lines, or dull skin.

It can also be used with PRP. PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. A blood sample is harvested, spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets. When these are added to the microneedled skin, the healing process is enhanced and accelerated. Microneedling with PRP effectively treats acne scars, surgical scars, wrinkles, and fine lines, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, large pores, uneven skin texture irregularities

The downtime is very minimal for this, which makes it a great option for a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment.
