Technology

At Beale & Cullen Dental, we stay on top of the latest developments and training to continually provide our patients with the highest-quality dentistry available. Our team consistently attend regular training courses and certifications to stay at the leading edge of the dental field.

Any time we can improve the care we provide by implementing new technology, we see it as an investment in the most important part of our practice – you.

Here are some of the ways technology improves the dentistry you receive at Beale & Cullen Dental.

CEREC Crowns

At Beale & Cullen we have offered CEREC single visit crowns for many years. We can take digital impression to create strong, aesthetic, ceramic crown in one visit. This means no temporary crowns and waiting weeks for your crown to be made at a lab. We have the latest CEREC technology, the Primescan 2, which enhances your patient experience even more. We are proud and excited to be at the forefront of the digital dentistry scene in New Zealand.

Intraoral Camera

Educating our patients on their oral health and treatment options helps them make informed decisions that support healthy, beautiful smiles. Our handheld intraoral camera is small but produces powerful images that we can show you right on our treatment room monitors.

Using our intraoral camera, we can show you what our dentists see when they look inside your mouth.

IV Sedation

It can be a daunting thing to come to the dentist, particularly if we need to complete complex treatment for you. At Beale & Cullen, we have several options of conscious sedation which can help to make your dental appointment much more comfortable.Sedation is helpful for very anxious patients, as well as patients who choose to have multiple treatments completed in one long appointment. It is also used to help patients with a strong gag reflex, who otherwise find it difficult to have treatment.

The benefits of sedation can be feeling of relaxation, feeling floaty and sleepy, amnesia and feeling like time passes very fast during the appointment. Our staff are all highly trained in various sedation techniques and during your consultation we can discuss options with you to decide what type of sedation would suit you.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays have improved dental diagnostics by leaps and bounds by providing our dentists with sharp, accurate images to diagnose dental issues such as decay in the earliest stages possible. They also emit 80 per cent less radiation than traditional film x-rays.

Your safety is the most important aspect of your care, and we are proud to offer this modern, innovative way to protect your smile.
